new pillows & and a new direction

Two new pillow designs in the shop. I'm focused on using up my limited vintage fabric stock. Really, I'm keeping myself from purchasing any fabric - vintage or new - in order to create more space in my work area and then shift my direction a bit at the close of February. There are so many directions I want to go... too many. Looking toward spring and summer, I'm due for a bit of reigning in and narrowing of focus. Also taking a month long class on pattern design beginning with week with a Seattle-area designer. I've wanted to so this for some time, but it's never fit my schedule.

Thus, I plan to have made some color, fiber and design decisions and be playing around with those come March. I revel in the charm of the old, the time-worn, the proven favorites but I am always one to crave change as well. I took a leap and applied for a pretty massive 3-day art show that takes place at the end of July near home. I believe my chances of acceptance are not great for a couple of reasons. I'll get the official word in March. As most of the summer show deadlines have come and gone, or are about to, I've choses to put all of my eggs in one basket. Feels right for me, although there is one small show I was excited to apply for, however I managed to miss the deadline. March will be my transition month. I may even focus some energy on a return to regular exercise and more sleep!
